Auto racing: Murdock driver captures Pure Stock title at KRA Speedway

Jared Kelm wins the A Feature race Thursday night.

WILLMAR — One area driver won his A feature races Thursday night at KRA Speedway.

Jared Kelm of Murdock took first in the Pure Stock Division to beat Ty Schuler of Montevideo. Coltyn Schuler of Montevideo finished third. Ty Schuler had beaten Kelm in Heat 1 of the Division.

Dean Larson of Pennock wound up second in the Wissota Mod Four A Feature, finishing behind Tommy Bawden of Clear Lake.

Peter Martin of Willmar took second in the Wissota Hornet A Feature, finishing behind Justin Schelitzche of Waconia.

It was AFCO Race of Champions Qualifier Night at KRA.

Next week’s event coincides with the Kandiyohi County Fair with HOTROD Vintage Cars featured.
