Tramel Barnes, a Northern State University 6-foot freshman guard from Montevideo, saw brief action as the Wolves beat Upper Iowa University in Fayette 63-58 on Saturday to gain head coach Dan Meyer his 902 career victory.
The win ties Meyer with Bobby Knight for the most career wins in NCAA men's basketball. Meyer has coached 36 years, the last nine at Aberdeen, S.D.
Barnes has eight rebounds, six assists and five points in eight games for the Wolves (11-2).
