ST. CLOUD — With two runs in the first and insurance in the sixth, St. Michael-Albertville had enough offense to make a strong outing by two pitchers in a 3-1 win over Willmar VFW Post 1639 in the first round of the District 6 playoffs on Monday at Dick Putz Field.
STMA’s Zach Romans got the win, allowing only a first-inning run on four hits in six innings. Evan Saunders worked a scoreless seventh to get the save.
