Prep Basketball: Albany rides big second half to win over NLS

NEW LONDON — New London-Spicer's Brandon Adelman scored 27 points and Ander Arnold had 15 points but Albany's big second half led the Huskies to a 68-62 win over the Wildcats on Thursday.

Isaac Nett led the Huskies with 20 points and Jordan Schiffler scored 15.

Paynesville won its first game of the season with a home win over St. John's Prep on Thursday.

Corbin Froelich led the Bulldogs with 25 points and Sam Oehrlein had 18 points and seven rebounds.

Grady Fuchs has 13 points and Carter Wessel had seven rebounds and five assists.

Trailing 32-23 at halftime, Litchfield tied it up with a 9-0 run to start the second half. Then with a steady diet of drives and dump offs at the rim, the Dragons hung tough with Hutchinson. And with an and-one from Sydney McCann in the final minute and a defensive stop in the waning seconds put Litchfield in the win column with a 47-46 victory over the visiting Tigers.

Natalie Hansen was the lone Dragon in double figures with 11 points along with six rebounds. The team had plenty of balance with Janessa Olson, McCann, Laney Huhner and Katelyn Cruze all scoring six points.

Haley Wollschlager, Macie Lund and Lindsay Kranz all scored in double figures to lead Lac qui Parle Valley to a Camden Conference win over Dawson-Boyd on Thursday.

Kranz led all scorers with 20 points, Wollschlager had 18 points and six rebounds, six assists and five steals, and Lund hit four of the Eagles' eight 3-point shots and scored 16 points.

The Eagles' Grace Hegland had six points, a game-high 11 rebounds and three steals.
