Boys Basketball: Litchfield clamps down on Annandale in Monday matinee

LITCHFIELD — Owen Boerema posted big numbers as Litchfield defeated Annandale 62-42 in a Presidents' Day matinee on Monday.

Boerema finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Tyson Michels had nine points and five assists and Drew Kotzer, Alex Gruenke and Jake Schneider all scored eight points.

Trailing by two at half, BOLD's offense took over in the second half in a 75-61 West Central Conference win against Sauk Centre on Monday.

Drew Sagedahl and Carter Henry both had 22 points for the Warriors, with Henry shooting 11 of 15 from the field and Drew coming up with four steals. Jordan Sagedahl nearly had a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. While he didn't light up the scoreboard with four points, Gavin Vosika did everything else with eight rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Renville County West got off to a hot start, building an 18-point halftime lead en route to a 71-48 Camden Conference North win over MACCRAY on Monday.

Pushing the Jaguars to victory was Justin Schrupp, who finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Riley Ashburn chimed in with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Brady Kienitz was the lone Wolverine in double figures with 14 points. He also had seven rebounds in the loss.
