WILLMAR — Community Christian School of Willmar was able to spread the wealth around on Tuesday.

Hosting St. Cloud Christian, 10 Eagles scored in a 77-45 Christian Athletic League victory.

Leading the way for CCS was the duo of Daniel Reid and Karl Chapin. Reid had a team-high 24 points on 8 of 11 shooting to go with five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Chapin tallied 21 points on 7 of 13 shooting and was effective moving the ball with eight assists to go with four steals.

The Warriors’ top scorer was Tate Watkins with 11 points.

On Thursday, the Eagles head to Cambridge Christian.

St. Cloud Tech earned its third victory of the season with the Central Lakes Conference victory at Willmar.

The Tigers took a 31-24 halftime lead and held on. Willmar cut its deficit to 67-62 with 23 seconds to go. But, Nate Trewick made two free throws to put Tech up by seven. That’s where it stayed, despite a 3-point attempt by the Cardinals’ Jack Jeffords with nine seconds to go.

Tech got the rebound and missed a free-throw attempt, but Willmar couldn’t sink a shot as time ran out.

Willmar plays at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Worthington.
