SPICER -- The West Central Bassmasters will be holding a kickoff meeting for the 2010 West Central Bass League at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Spicer American Legion Hall.
It's an opportunity to review the format, schedule and rules for the upcoming season. The season starts June 2 and will continue until the end of August.
Everyone who enjoys bass fishing is invited to attend and take part in the fun and enjoyment of the growing sport of competitive bass fishing.
The West Central Bassmasters offer the opportunity to enjoy bass fishing on local lakes, with evening schedules to avoid conflicts with work. The sport is an ideal activity for families or friends who want to spend some time together, and it is conservation-minded. Catch and release is practiced.
The sport features two anglers to a team with fishing offered two nights a week.
