BROOTEN -- Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa collected its 21st consecutive win Tuesday by upending Upsala 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-14 in the Section 5A-West-1 final.
The win pushed BBE (25-2) into the West sub-section final on Thursday where it will meet Bertha-Hewitt (24-7) at 6:30 p.m. in Pierz.
Maggie Gruber led a potent BBE attack with 25 kills while Brittany Roelike followed with 15 and Taylor Braegelman 10. Julie Hieserich collected 48 assists while setting up the offense.
Roelike also served three aces and Raeann Sorenson had a team-high 14 digs as the Jaguars snapped Upsala's 11-match winning streak.
