BENSON -- With the help of Kayla Hampton's 11 kills and Taylor Semler's four ace serves Benson remained unbeaten as the Braves swept Minnewaska 25-18, 25-18, 25-11 Tuesday in a West Central South Conference volleyball match.
The Braves improved to 3-0 in the conference, the same mark as Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, and 8-0 overall. Benson is the defending co-champion in the West Central South.
The Braves, who have won all eight of their matches by sweeps, were also aided by Emily Auch's six kills and two ace serves. Hampton also led with 10 digs.
Chelsea Geiser led Minnewaska (1-3, 4-8) with five kills. Kaylee Jacobs added four kills. Abby Kreitlow notched 22 digs and Calie Schiele had 20. Callie Bergsrud collected three ace serves.
