The dominant section in Class A Dance will send BOLD, Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, Montevideo and Yellow Medicine East to the 2016 State Girls Dance Team Tournament on Friday (Jazz) and Saturday (High Kick/Precision) at Target Center in Minneapolis.
The BOLD Divas placed first in Saturday’s Jazz division at Montevideo High School, which hosted the event for the 16th consecutive year. The home town Gold Dusters took the top spot in High Kick. Fifteen programs competed overall in what is widely considered the toughest section in Class A. Also performing from the area were teams from Renville County West, MACCRAY, New London-Spicer and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
The judges’ first four-scored teams in each division advanced.
Top Four Jazz: Bold, YME, Worthington, LQPV/DB.
Top Four High Kick: Montevideo, LQPV/DB, BOLD, YME.
