MORRIS -- Lincoln Arnold had 22 points and Tyler Meichsner hit a pair of key three-pointers late to help Morris maintain its lead in the West Central South Conference boys basketball race by clipping Minnewaska 62-51 Tuesday.

The Tigers (15-3) won their seventh straight and improved to 11-2 in the conference to remain one game ahead of Montevideo in the loss column. The win also avenged a 58-52 loss to the Lakers, who got a game-high 24 points from Pierce Peters Tuesday, on Jan. 8 in Glenwood.

Morris built up a double-digit lead in the second half before Minnewaska made a run to get within four. Meichsner answered by making back-to-back three-pointers to keep the Tigers ahead for good. Meichsner finished with 11 points and Jackson Henrich pumped in 13 more.
