BROOTEN -- Kevin Kuefler scored a game-high 24 points to help Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa claim at least a share of Central Minnesota Conference boys basketball title as the Jaguars fended off Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 81-76 Friday.
The unbeaten Jaguars, who are the No. 2-ranked team in Class A, have a three-game lead in the CMC at 11-0 with three games remaining. It was also the 24th straight conference win for the Jaguars (22-0).
Brian Goodwin added 19 points, Brady Koehler 16 and Connor Goodwin 10 for BBE. Connor Goodwin with nine and Kuefler eight combined to grab 17 of BBE's 37 rebounds.
Jett Leaf had 21 points, Cody Painschab 18 and Quinn Leaf 17 for HLWW.
