BROOTEN -- Kevin Kuefler had 18 points and Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa was in control early as the Jaguars took sole possession of first place in the Central Minnesota Conference by beating Maple Lake 63-38 Friday.
BBE (8-1, 15-3) and Maple Lake (6-2, 11-8) entered the game with only one loss apiece in the conference.
Connor Goodwin with 10 points was the only other Jaguar to score in double figures. Kuefler also collected 10 rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Matt Goodwin handed out a game-high eight assists.
Mitch Wurm knocked down four 3-pointers and also scored 18 points to go along with his game-high 13 rebounds for the Irish.
