Boys Basketball: Boike's 29 points boost Montevideo past LQPV

MADISON -- Ryan Boike landed five 3-pointers and scored 29 points to lead Montevideo to a 68-50 win over Lac qui Parle Valley in West Central South Conference boys basketball action Thursday.

The Thunder Hawks (4-1, 4-4) stay one game back in the loss column of Minnewaska and Morris/Cho-kio-Alberta

Boike also collected five rebounds. Jake Douglas added 18 points and six boards.

Chase Keimig turned in 24 points and six rebounds for the Eagles (3-2, 4-5). Eric Paulson added 10 points.

A quick start to start the second half distanced New London-Spicer (12-1) from Minnewaska (4-2) as the Wildcats went on to outscore the home team 43-25 in the half after owning a slim 34-31 lead at halftime.

Erik Tengwall with 19 points led a group of five players that scored in double figures for the Wildcats. Aaron Jenny and Aaron Johnson netted 14 apiece, Jayme Moten 13 and Justin Zylstra 10.
