Boys Basketball: BOLD rallies past YME

GRANITE FALLS -- Brandon Ochs pumped in 22 points and helped BOLD rally past Yellow Medicine East 45-38 in a West Central South Conference boys basketball game on Tuesday.

YME (2-5, 2-8) led 22-15 at halftime and still held a three-point advantage with 3:30 remaining in the game when BOLD (3-3, 8-6) mounted its comeback.

Kyle Krause pulled down 11 of the Wariors' 32 rebounds.

Taylor Olson led YME with 17 points to go along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Jacob Belgum hit four straight free throws to ice the win for the Falcons (3-4, 5-8). He was 7-for-7 overall from the charity stripe and finished with 13 points.

Mitchell Tauer and Trever Heining had 13 points apiece for ACGC. Logan Jacobs added 12. Heining also had 10 rebounds.

Eric Paulson nailed five 3-pointers and scored 20 points for the Eagles (2-5, 5-7). Jacob Redepenning chipped in 18 points.

Cody Jaeger sank four 3-pointers in the first half when he got 14 of his 16 points and Sam Peterson ended with 22 points and nine rebounds to power the Braves (3-3, 6-8).

Matt Ahrndt and Derek Hilleren each sank 10 points for the Braves. Carter Fennell dished out nine assists.

Dan Weidner had 19 points, Josh Bungum 16 and Jordan Schleper 12 for Paynesville (0-9, 0-14).
