Boys Basketball: Camden, WC South split four games in Challenge

KERKHOVEN -- MACCRAY thumped Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 95-67 in the fourth game of the Camden vs. West Central South Conference Challenge on Saturday.

KERKHOVEN -- MACCRAY thumped Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 95-67 in the fourth game of the Camden vs. West Central South Conference Challenge on Saturday.

The unbeaten Wolverines (22-0) gave the Camden the overall win, based on one point for a win in each of the first three games and two points for the final game.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg topped Lac qui Parle Valley for the other Camden win. Benson downed Dawson-Boyd and Yellow Medicine East thwarted Renville County West for the two West Central South victories.

Condon and ACGC's Jordan Tanner were co-winners of the three-point shooting contest.

Dylan Aeikens added 18 points for the Wolverines. Seth Hinrich notched 14 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Dammann threaded 12 assists.

Jeff Peterson with 16 points and Tanner with 12 paced the Falcons (12-10).

Sophomore guard Taylor Olson scored a school-record 37 points, including six 3-pointers, to give the Sting only their second win of the season.

Anton Leiseth had a double-double with 19 points and a career-high 22 rebounds for YME (2-17).

Junior Ramirez and Dan Knapper had 12 points each for RCW (5-14). Steve Gens and Michael Fischer chipped in 11 points apiece.

Benson 72, Dawson-Boyd 60

Aaron Lindahl had 20 of his game-high 32 points in the second half and Brennan Kent had 16 of his 22 points after intermission and the Braves (12-9) rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit.

The Braves played a triangle-and-two on Dawson-Boyd's Kruiz Lindblad and Matt Anderson in the second half and outscored the Blackjacks 45-25.

Lindahl also had 12 rebounds, nine assists and seven rebounds. Steven James added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Andrew Roiger led Dawson-Boyd (12-11) with 17 points. Lindblad and Collin Bergeson had 13 points each. Anderson was held to two points, but did dish out seven assists.
