LITCHFIELD -- The Litchfield Dragons knocked off Watertown-Mayer, the No. 2-ranked team in Class AA, with a 63-50 non-conference victory on Tuesday.
Litchfield (12-2) came out strong and led 35-11 at the half.
"In the first half defensively we were very, very solid," Litchfield head coach John Carlson said. "They didn't shoot all that well but we had a lot to do with that."
The Royals came back in the second half with 39 points, hitting six of their eight 3-pointers, but it wasn't enough to erase the first-half deficit.
