HANCOCK -- Brendon Foss tossed in a game-high 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Hancock held off several late charges by Central Minnesota Christian to prevail 68-66 in a non-conference boys basketball game on Friday.
Hancock (11-6) led by seven points late in the game before the Bluejays (5-12) cut the deficit to three. The Owls then cashed a free throw for a 68-64 advantage and Jordon Daugherty's basket cut it to 68-66. But CMCS would not get another shot off.
Cory Schroeder added 23 points for the Owls, who had lost their last two games. Foss also blocked five shots.
Daugherty finished with a team-high 21 points for CMCS. Joey Grussing supplied 16 points and 10 rebounds and Logan Erickson added 11 points.

Ortonville's Dan Berdan poured in 24 points and and Jesse Roscoe added 16 to lead the Trojans.
Ortonville called a late timeout, but didn't have any remaining and was whistled for a technical foul.

Jake Armstrong made both free throws for KMS to cut the deficit to 68-66, but the Fighting Saints missed a final shot that could have tied the game.
Armstrong finished with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Marc Beckman added 15 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Cole Berget notched 14 points.
