REDWOOD FALLS -- Two 30-point performances sparked Montevideo Tuesday as the Thunder Hawks snapped Redwood Valley's win streak at six by clipping the Cardinals 83-73 in a non-conference boys basketball game.
Montevideo (9-3) had Jeff Jerve net 33 points and Eric Brandon supply 30 more to help offset Mike Felt's game-high 41 points that paced the Cardinals (10-2). Brandon also hooked 12 rebounds and Jerve 10 to finish with double-doubles.
Redwood Valley led 48-39 at halftime, but the Thunder Hawks chipped away to take control down the stretch.

(Double overtime) -- The Trojans outpointed the Fighting Saints 18-10 in the second overtime as Bryant Zahrbock hit 10 of 10 free throws. He was 14 of 15 at the line for the game, drained four treys and finished with 36 points.
KMS led 55-49 with under two minutes left in regulation, but Ortonville scored six straight points to force overtime.
Taylor Freetly led KMS with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jake Armstrong and Adam Miller each tallied 11 points.

Aaron Lindahl's 10-foot jumper with 10 seconds left gave the Braves (5-7) the victory.
Hancock took the lead with under a minute left, but Lindahl scored on a three-point play. The Owls then made two free throws to tie the game.
Lindahl scored a game-high 39 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Brennan Kent added 13 points.
Brendon Foss scored 19 points lead Hancock (3-8). Derrick Foss followed with 16 points and Nathan Dahlman added 12.
