MONTEVIDEO - Michael Lee scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Jess Hansen added 26 points with three steals as Dawson-Boyd came back from a first half deficit to defeat Minneota 69-66 in their Section 3A playoff opener on Saturday.
Lee, an All-Area first-teamer last year, missed six games with a leg injury.
The Blackjacks’ who trailed by six heading into halftime, were powered by a 42 point second half performance to earn the victory.
Minneota was guided by guard Dylan Tolk, who was the leading scorer of the game with 28 points and six assists.
Canby is up next for Dawson-Boyd on Tuesday at Southwest Minnesota State.
In the last matchup between the two teams, the Lancers defeated Dawson-Boyd 65-45 in Canby on Jan. 9

Taylor Slagter recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Austin Bulthuis added 14 points and Matthew Van Eps had 12 as Central Minnesota Christian School cruised past Renville County West on Saturday in the Section 3A playoffs.
The Bluejays limited Renville County West to just nine field goals. Brady Holwerda led the Jaguars with 11 points.
MACCRAY will be next up for CMCS at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Southwest Minnesota State.

Carter Asche had a monstrous game with 31 points and 16 rebounds as MACCRAY bounced Lakeview on Saturday to open the Section 3A playoffs.
The Wolverines’ Tyler Plowman scored 18 points, Tyler Moffenbier had 15 points and Jackson Grussing scored 12.
The Wolverines connected on 50 percent of its shots from the floor and will look to extend its seven-game winning streak against Central Minnesota Christian School on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Southwest Minnesota State.

Seth Schuette led all-scorers with 21 points and Brett VanMaasdam added 18 points and eight rebounds as Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop defeated Montevideo in the Section 3AA playoffs Saturday in Winthrop.
The Thunder Hawks fell behind by 17 points in the first half and couldn’t recover. Troy Diggins and Jimmy Haff were the only scorers for Montevideo to reach double figures with 17 and 10 points, respectively.
