Boys Basketball: Minnewaska shackles YME for 3rd win in row

Leading 29-20 late in the first half, Minnewaska (12-3, 15-6) employed the mid-court trap on inbounds plays and finished the half on a 12-2 run.

Shane Bosek led the way with 19 points, followed by Brady Johnsrud with 14. Ben Peters and Jake Mikkelson chipped in 11 each.

Brian Rosenau scored a game-high 20 points for the Sting (3-13, 6-17). Taylor Olson added 13 points.

Zach Moen netted 14 points behind four 3-pointers in the second half to ignite the Eagles' second-half surge. Lac qui Parle Valley made a three-pointer right before the first half ended to take a slim 26-22 lead into halftime.

Moen finished with a team-high 18 points while Chase Keimig added 16, Eric Paulson 12 and Jordan Schwarz 10 for the Eagles (8-7, 10-11). Schwarz led all players with 13 rebounds.

Mitchell Tauer had 18 points and Trever Heining followed with 13 to pace the Falcons (1-14, 3-20).
