MORRIS -- Morris/Cho-kio-Alberta stands alone on top of the West Central South Conference boys basketball heap after beating Minnewaska 72-51 Thursday.
The Tigers (7-0, 12-0), the No. 2 team in Class AA, led 33-22 at halftime and dominated the boards, 31-15.
The Lakers (5-1, 5-3) fall into a second-place tie with Montevideo (5-1, 6-4) after the loss.
Cory Hennen scored a season-high 22 points to lead Morris/CA and dished out five assists. Lincoln Arnold added 13 points. On the glass, Jackson Henrich collected seven rebounds and Corey Nohl had six.
Ben Peters paced the Lakers with 17 points. Shane Bosek had 12 points and six rebounds.

Central Minnesota Christian forced 20 turnovers and made only eight itself, but the Bluejays couldn't get any closer than six points in the second half after falling behind 38-23 at halftime.

Logan Erickson made four 3-pointers en route to netting 20 points for the Bluejays, who also couldn't overcome Jordan Wiesen's game-high 27 points for Canby. Jordon Daugherty added 15 points for CMCS.
The game was originally scheduled for today, but the schools agreed to play a day earlier in case inclement weather conditions would arise.
