BENSON -- Lincoln Arnold scored the 1,000th point of his career and Morris/Chokio-Alberta tumbled Benson 89-52 in a West Central South Conference boys basketball game on Saturday.
Arnold, a 6-foot-2 senior forward, becomes the eighth boy from Morris to hit the 1,000-point marh. He entered the game with 978 points and scored his 1,000th on a layup with six minutes remaining in the game. The game was stopped and he was presented with the game ball. Arnold was removed from the game after that basket, finishing with 22 points.
Alex Erickson added 17 points and eight assists for the Tigers (11-0, 16-0). Cory Hennen had 14 points and Tyler Henrichs added 10.
Jeff Berens led Benson (5-5, 10-8) with 10 points.
Morris, ranked No. 2 in Class AA, plays at No. 1 New London-Spicer tonight.

Shane Bosek made two free throws with 30 seconds left to seal the three-point win for Minnewaska (11-3).

Bosek and Brady Johnsrud both had 16 points and six rebounds to help the Lakers win their sixth straight game.
Jake Mikkelson followed with 12 points to help Minnewaska overcome Adam Sadlemeyer's game-high 24 points for Osakis (9-7).
