PAYNESVILLE - The visiting Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles took care of business on Monday night as they blew out Paynesville 64-39.
Jared Streit powered the Eagles with 30 points. It was a competitive first half, but the Eagles shot 56 percent to keep the lead in double digits at 32-21.
In the second half, the Bulldogs shot just 6 of 19 from the field against EVW’s suffocating defense.
Meanwhile, the Eagles kept up the hot shooting after the break, outscoring the Bulldogs 32-18 in the second half.
Paynesville’s Alex Kranz and Mitchell Weidner each scored eight points. The Bulldogs play host to Holdingford at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alex Hendricks hit eight 3-point shots and scored 31 points, and Brody Larson scored 20 points and had eight assists to lead the Falcons to their third win in four games over Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity 88-65 on Monday.

The Falcons (3-1) built a 21-point lead by halftime against the 2-1 Bulldogs.
Gabe Eisenbacher had 11 points and four steals and Adam Johnson scored six points and led the Falcons with 11 rebounds.
ACGC travels to play at Morris/Chokio-Alberta at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
