Camden Jackson recorded 18 points, Jacob Doman 12 and Cody Landwehr 12 to power the Storm.
Willmar was down by just three points at intermission, but couldn’t muster enough second half offense to pick up their first Central Lakes Conference win on the season.
Noah Slagter led the Cardinals with 23 points and added five rebounds, while Austin Grove had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Up next for Willmar will be Mankato West at home on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Morris/Chokio-Alberta junior Eric Staebler reached the 1,000 career-points milestone to help the Tigers topple the visiting Dutchmen.
Staebler hit 1,000 points - achieved in only 48 games (21 ppg) - with a 10-foot jumper in the middle of the lane with 10 minutes left in the game. Staebler finished with 26 points and also collected 15 rebounds to post another double-double.
Jacob Zosel followed with 15 points and also had five assists and four steals, and Noah Grove chipped in nine points for the Tigers.
Dillon Haider had three 3-pointers and 16 points for Melrose, which lost its second straight conference game after opening the WCC scheduled 11-0.

The Silverstreaks fell behind by 19 points after the first half, and struggled from the free throw line going 4-for-14. Jon Boogard scored 12 points and Zachary Weir added 10 points in the loss. Sauk Centre is tied for the West Central Conference lead and hosts Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Friday.
As it stands now, Sauk Centre will play Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at home next Thursday at 7:30 p.m in the WCC championship.
