NEW LONDON - Devin Fostervold went for 20 points and Ethan Bohlsen had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead New London-Spicer to a 69-63 win over Minnewaska in the opening round of the Section 6AA playoffs on Thursday.
The Wildcats’ Shane Zylstra had 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, and Derrick Laudenbach finished with eight points and seven boards.
Minnewaska’s Austin VerSteeg led the Lakers with 35 points and he also had 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Matt McIver scored 10 points and Riley Thompson had eight.
The Lakers finished the season 14-13
The Wildcats have a tall task up next, taking on top-seed Eden Valley-Watkins at 5 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s University.

Mitchell Weidner hit four 3-point shots and scored 28 points as the Bulldogs rebounded from a six-point halftime deficit with a 46-point second half.
The Bulldogs play Litchfield at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the second round at St. John’s University.
Toby Flannigan scored 16 points and Matt Quade had 14.
MCA’s Eric Staebler led the Tigers with 26 points and 19 rebouds and Noah Grove finished with 20 points and seven assists, and Jacob Zosel had seven points and 11 assists.
