Boys Basketball: Tigers maul ACGC

MORRIS -- Eric Staebler recorded an impressive double-double with 28 points and 16 rebounds as Morris/Chokio-Alberta pulled away in the second half to defeat Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 80-63 on Friday.

MORRIS - Eric Staebler recorded an impressive double-double with 28 points and 16 rebounds as Morris/Chokio-Alberta pulled away in the second half to defeat Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 80-63 on Friday.

Staebler also made seven steals as the Tigers improved to 3-1.

Jacob Zosel scored 17 points and dished out five assists, Lukus Manska hit three 3-point shots and finished with 13 points, Robert Rohloff scored 12 points and had four assists, and Sean Amundson went for 10 points, four assists and three steals.

The Tigers play at BOLD at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

ACGC’s Colton Minnick scored a game-high 32 points and he had seven rebounds.

Adam Johnson followed with 12 points and Erik Belgum finished with eight points, six boards and four assists.

The Falcons are 2-2 and play host to Montevideo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
