PRINSBURG - Spencer Smith scored 17 points to lead a group of three Panthers that scored in double figures as Tracy-Milroy-Balaton edged Central Minnesota Christian School 50-49 in overtime Tuesday in the Camden Conference Championship.
The South champion Panthers (20-4) avenged a 63-50 loss to the North champs on Jan. 13, also in Prinsburg. CMCS fell to 19-3.
Ethan Brouwer knocked down five 3-pointers en route to scoring a game-high 19 points for CMCS. Austin Bulthuis added 13 points and six rebounds, while Taylor Slagter contributed nine rebounds and Matthew VanEps nine points and seven rebounds.
Josh Kirk trailed Smith with 13 points and Derek Larson tacked on another 10 for TMB, which won its seventh straight.
The Bluejays are the No. 1 seed for the Section 3A-North playoffs and will take on Thursday’s No. 9 Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg/No. 8 Renville County West winner on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Montevideo.
