Boys Basketball: Waska drains 7 treys in 2nd half to sink LPGE

GLENWOOD -- A three-point barrage in the second half allowed Minnewaska to pull away as the Lakers upended Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 59-35 in a non-conference boys basketball game Friday.

GLENWOOD -- A three-point barrage in the second half allowed Minnewaska to pull away as the Lakers upended Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 59-35 in a non-conference boys basketball game Friday.

The Lakers (8-3) led 19-17 at halftime and LPGE (4-9) stayed within striking distance for the first part of the second half. But Minnewaska then made five of its seven second-half treys down the stretch to ice its third straight win. The Lakers made nine 3-pointers in the game.

Shane Bosek had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Brady Johnsrud piled up 12 points, five assists and four steals to lead the charge for Minnewaska.
