TYLER - Easton Popma shot even-par 71 Monday at the Tyler Golf Club to win medalist honors and help Dawson-Boyd win the first Camden Conference meet on the shortened season.
The Blackjacks’ top four scores - Popma’s 71, Christian Thoen’s 74, Cameron Kemen’s 80 and Spencer Erickson’s 84 - totaled 309, 51 shots better than runner-up MACCRAY.
Riley Sigdahl placed third individually for the newest conference member Lac qui Parle Valley and Brady Madsen followed at fourth to pace MACCRAY.
The conference has just two 18-hole meets before holding the championships on Monday, May 13 in Marshall. Minneota hosts the next meet next Monday.
