BRAINERD-Levi Hauser, Willmar freshman, shot a one-under par 71 to win the huge Brainerd Invitational on Wednesday.
Willmar shot 325 to place fifth among 22 teams at the Pines at Grand View Lodge.
“I’m very proud of Levi,” said Willmar head coach Bryan Mara. “It was a big field with many excellent players. Levi has been working hard but was having trouble scoring. Today his dedication paid off.”
Hunter Mottinger was next for Willmar with an 81.
Fergus Falls shot 298 to win the team event by six strokes in front of runner-up Lakeville South.
