Boys Golf: New London-Spicer wins own invite; Willmar 2nd: Boys Golf

SPICER -- Tyler Jens-vold of Yellow Medicine East fired a 73 to earn medalist honors, but New London-Spicer Black had the best team score to win its own 12-team invite Friday at Little Crow Country Club.

Reid Johnson was four shots behind Jensvold at 77, Barret Freeland followed with a 78, Joey Dreier 80 and three 85s from Ryan Berg, Ben Schlitter and Joey Sisser allowed NLS Black to tally a 320, nine shots better than runner-up Willmar.

Tony Kallevig's 77 paced the Cardinals. Carl Adamek was right behind with a 78 to give Willmar two golfers in the top four.

Benson/KMS and YME tied for third at 338. Sam Peterson led Benson/KMS with a 79.
