BUFFALO LAKE -- The Willmar boys golf team advanced to the second day of the Section 2AAA meet by placing fourth.
The Cardinals shot a 310 at Oakdale Country Club Thursday and will move on with five other teams and the next top 12 individuals to the final round Tuesday.
Chaska leads the field with a 297. The top six teams are separated by 17 strokes.
Alex Baker shot a 75, Tom Warzecha a 77 and Colin Erickson a 78 to lead Willmar. Isaiah Streed added an 80 for the Cardinals' final score.
