SARTELL -- Willmar was held scoreless in the second half after scoring twice in the first half as Sartell rallied to remain unbeaten in the Central Lakes Conference by edging the Cardinals 3-2 Monday.
The Sabres (12-0, 13-1) scored in the 22nd minute before Junior Becerra and Tim Rogers scored less than 10 minutes apart to give Willmar a 2-1 lead.
Becerra's goal came from about 30 yards out near the sideline and sailed over the head of Sartell goalkeeper Skylar Gardner. Rogers converted a penalty kick two minutes before halftime.
The Sabres, who blanked Willmar 3-0 in the first meeting of the season on Sept. 7 in Willmar, then netted two goals in the second half to seal the CLC title.
The Cardinals (6-3-2, 8-4-2) are at New Ulm today for a non-conference match.
