NEW LONDON - New London-Spicer won at 1-singles and 3-singles but St. Cloud Cathedral swept singles and defeated the Wildcats 5-2 on Friday at the NLS High School courts.
Both NLS winning doubles teams fought back after dropping the first set in the two-of-three matches.
Ethan Chvala and Logan Eckhoff lost the first set at 1-doubles before rebounding to win 6-4, 6-3.
At 3-doubles, the Wildcats’ Ely Rogers and Noah Martens fell 6-2 in the first set but won 6-0 in the second set and closed out the match 7-5 in the third.
