WILLMAR - The Willmar tennis team overwhelmed St. Cloud Apollo/Sauk Rapids 6-1 improving to 3-1 in the CLC and 6-2 overall.
Willmar is at St. Cloud Tech on Thursday and at Alexandria on Friday.
Willmar lost only at 1-singles where Isaac Yoakum fell in three sets to Caleb Johnson. Drew Corneil at 2- and Jarod Swoboda at 3-followed with wins well played.
At 4-singles, Manny Obregon surprised a good player by dominating play in the first set in a 6-1, 6-4 win.
In a doubles sweep, all three duos controlled play with strong serving, high percentage returns of serve and by attacking the net, commented coach Jim Anderson.
