CLARA CITY - Not the finest day for tennis but the Thunder Hawks and the Wolverines took to the high-school courts in front of the school with little shelter from the 15 mph northwest wind.

Montevideo prevailed in the non-conference meeting 7-0. The match followed three days weather to hostile for practice or matches.

Jesse Erickson led the sweep at singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Skylar Garmin, MACCRAY’s No. 2.

Coach Dan Fragodt had to shift his line-up with a couple of players unavailable. 1-singles Connor Hagemeyer was moved to 1-doubles teaming with Nathan Eisenmenger. They fell 6-4, 6-2 to the Hawks Martin Moore/Triston Voorhees.
