WILLMAR -- In a rare tennis doubleheader, Willmar fell to Alexandria 4-3 and then to Brainerd 7-0 in Central Lakes Conference matches.

Tate Hovland and Isaac Yoakum, in their first varsity matches, each earned wins against Alexandria. Yoakum was at 4-singles and Hovland was teamed with Austen Hilding at 3-doubles.

"We were missing several players today," said Willmar coach Loren Holter. "So we had some new faces in the lineup. It was nice to see Tate and Isaac get their first wins."

Also winning against Alexandria was David Skonard and Mary Larson at 2-doubles.
