The Gustavus Adolphus College softball team beat the University of Texas 5-1 in the first round of the NCAA Division III World Series in Montclair, N.J. Friday.
Junior third baseman Andrea Brown and junior pitcher Callie Nelsen, both from Willmar, have helped the Gusties (40-7) win five straight games in the postseason.
Brown had four hits and Nelsen won one game as the Gusties went 4-0 to win their region.
