WILLMAR-Prairie Centre's Mikayla Olson scored with four seconds left in the first period and her team rode that momentum to a 6-3 victory over Willmar on Tuesday at the Willmar Civic Center.
The Cardinals fell to 2-11 overall. They play host to Fergus Falls in a Central Lakes Conference game at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Civic Center.
Prairie Centre's Shelby Otte scored an unassisted power play goal in the first but Willmar Kobienia tied the game fewer than two minutes later on an assist from Natalie Amon.
But Olson scored at 16:56, and after Willmar's Bailey Olson scored the first goal of the second period.
Prairie Centre's Kali Sayovitz scored two straight goals for a 4-2 lead.

Kobienia pulled the Cardinals close with a power play goal at 16:11 of the second, but Kylee Hopp scored at 2:46 of the third to put the margin back up to two, and Gabby Olson iced the game with an unassisted goal at 4:02.
In addition to her two goals, Kobienia had an assist, Bailey Olson scored the Card's other goal, Riley Schneider had two assists, and Amon had her assist.
