ST. CLOUD - As it has most of the season, Willmar's defense suffocated the opposition on Tuesday night at St. Cloud Apollo.
Add in an offensive outburst, and the end result is a 69-35 Cardinals blowout victory over the Eagles.
Carly Wedel scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Cayle Hovland scored 12 points and Heidi Sellman scored 11 points to led Willmar.
The Cardinals shot 43.1 percent from the field and improved to 10-8 on the season and 6-3 in conference play.
"First half, our defense carried us," Willmar head coach Dustin Carlson said. "Then, in the second half, we came alive offensively. Everyone stepped up tonight and played their role really well."
