Randy Laage of Willmar in EZ1 and Jason Vejtruba (38) of Atwater throttle up out of Turn 4 Saturday in Midwest Mods Heat 1 on Saturday evening at the KRA Speedway in the Charlie Nelson Fall Nationals in Willmar. Laage would be second and Vejtruba second in both their heat and the 14-car feature. In Hobby Stock, Jed Muller of New London repeated his Friday victory; Joe Martin of Willmar won the four-car Hobby feature; Tim Johnson, Brainerd, repeated in both Street Stock and Supers but was denied a 6-for-6 sweep when Seth Brede of Willmar beat Johnson to the checkered in the 15-car Modified main. Seventy cars raced Saturday and 72 on Friday.
