NEW LONDON -- Central Minnesota Christian senior Briana Wubben broke the area long jump record for the second time in two years.

Wubben had a leap of 18-0 at the New London-Spicer Invitational on Thursday, breaking her own area mark of 17-113/4 that she set last year when she broke Beth Zimmer of Willmar's all-time area mark of 17-9 set in 2004.

Wubben placed seventh at the state meet in the long jump last spring.

No other results from the meet were repoerted.
