Jordan Thompson pitched a five-hit shutout and Ridgewater plated five runs in the top of the seventh to beat Minnesota West in Game One on Saturday.
Keanu Smith led off with a double, and after a hit batter, single, and Cooper Lamke RBI walk, Austin Theis cleared the bases with a double.
Theis scored the fifth run on Adam Prehn’s RBI single.
Thompson struck out five and walked one.

Jordan Jeseritz homered and Hunter Berry drove in six runs in Ridgewater’s Game Two blowout Saturday.
Berry had three hits, and Jeseritz, Preston Kraft, Smith, Prehn and Ryan Quast each had two.
Ben Morken tossed three innings and struck out four to pick up the win.
