ROCHESTER - A lack of offense in the first game and a lack of defense in the second game cost the Ridgewater baseball team an MCAC doubleheader on Monday.
The Warriors managed just four hits off Rochester’s Adam Rude in a 6-2 loss in Game One, and they committed six errors in a 12-4 setback in Game Two.
Rude worked all seven innings in Game One, allowing two earned runs and striking out 12. Sean Geelan drove in a pair of runs for the Yellowjackets.
In Game Two, Austin Theis, Erich Prokosch and Matt Schmitz all had two hits. Prokosch drove in two runs and Theis and Wes Oswald both had RBIs.
The Warriors return home to host Minnesota West in a doubleheader today, beginning at 4 p.m., at Baker Field.
