WORTHINGTON - The Ridgewater baseball team rebounded from a difficult loss in its first game against Minnesota West on Sunday to take game two thanks to a three-run seventh inning.
The Warriors gave up two runs with two outs in the last inning to lose 4-3 in game one, but they took the second game 7-6.
The 2-10 Warriors play two games at Riverland Tuesday in Austin. The games were scheduled for Saturday but were postponed by snow.
In game two, the Warriors trailed by a run heading into the top of the seventh and final inning. But Onas Farfan singled and scored on Brandon Roelike’s triple, and Roelike scored the go-ahead run on Scott Salfer’s single. Jake Comnick singled, sending Salfer to third and Salfer scored an insurance run on Austin Thorstad’s RBI ground out.
Jarrod Holmgren got the win in relief of starter Bryan Shaw, and Jeff Petrik pitched the bottom of the seventh for the save.

Dan Blackstad homered in the first game and Salfer drove in two runs. Brandon Bornhorst and Farfan allowed one earned run on five hits and struck out 12.
In game two, Trenton Berg homered and Farfan was 3-for-3.
