College football: NDSCS late charge downs Warriors

WILLMAR - In what was a close game for three-and-a-half quarters, North Dakota State College of Science scored two touchdowns in the final 7 minutes to sink Ridgewater 35-20 on Sunday.
The loss eliminated Ridgewater (2-5) from MCAC playoff contention.
Trailing 14-0 at the half, Ridgewater’s Dominick Wise scored twice in the third quarter on 3- and 12-yard runs to tie it up.
Quarterback Dallas Cook put NDSCS back on top with an 8-yard TD pass to Kade Klasen early in the fourth, and the Wildcats poured it on after that with a 2-yard TD run from Cook and an 84-yard interception return from Andrew Lewis.
Ridgewater’s Dimitri Leverette ran in the Warriors’ final touchdown on a 1-yard run.
Leverette had a team-high 73 yards rushing, and Chris Tidwell and Johnnie Pope each caught passes for more than 100 yards.
QB Tony Ayala passed for 252 yards on 16 completions.
