College Football: Raiders dominate Ridgewater from land and sky

BRAINERD - The Central Lakes offense did it all on Saturday, running and throwing with equal efficiency in a 68-13 victory over Ridgewater.
The Raiders ran for 372 yards and five touchdowns and they threw for 203 yards and four TDs.
CLC ran 88 plays and piled up 36 first downs.
“They controlled things so well,” said Ridgewater head coach Lloyd Danzeisen. “They run a no-huddle but it’s not just to throw the ball down the field. They really control the ball.”
The Warriors scored on Brandon Brice’s 38-yard interception return for a score - his second in two college starts - and Tre Lewis returned a kickoff 95 yards for a fourth-quarter score.
The Warriors threw for 154 yards but were intercepted four times.
They managed just 24 rushing yards and 10 total first downs.
“We have to run it better,” Danzeisen said. “The defense gave up a tremendous number of yards but they were on the field a lot. (The Raiders) had a lot of long drives and our defense really got worn out.”
The Warriors, now 1-1, play the middle game of a three-game road stretch at Minnesota West in Worthington, at 7 p.m. Saturday.
