ROCHESTER -- Ridgewater fell to a second place tie in the MCAC South with a 47-15 loss to Rochester Community Technical College on Saturday in Rochester.

Ridgewater lost its second straight game and is 2-1 in the MCAC South and 5-2 overall.

The Warriors got on the board first when linebacker Tarrell McDuffie recovered a fumble for a 45-yard touchdown. After RCTC scored twice on touchdowns by Kevin Monkam and Jake Kirsch, Ridgewater's Nathanial Swoyer ran in a score from 3 yards to make the score 13-12 in favor of Rochester.

Ridgewater trailed 20-15 at the half but couldn't get any offense going the rest of the game while Rochester scored four more touchdowns to run away with the victory.

A Warrior fumble turned the tide on the first drive of the second half.

"The offensive line created a nice hole and we had a 9-yard gain, but we fumbled the ball and you can just see their heads drop," Ridgewater coach Rob Baumgarn said. "The air just escaped us. We didn't recover from that."

Baumgarn said he was disappointed in the effort in the fourth quarter.

"I still feel that this team has not played a complete game," he said. "Sad to say that going into Week 8, but excited to see if we can get it together for a run now."
