WAITE PARK - Ridgewater went quietly in an elimination game of the Region 13A Tournament, falling to Rochester Community and Technical College 6-0 on Friday.
The Warriors finish their season with a 28-16 overall record and 15-9 in the MCAC.
Rochester’s Haley Vanourney dealt the first blow with a two-run double in the third inning after a hit batter and an error.
The Yellowjackets held the 2-0 lead until the seventh when they plated four more on Laura Chalmers’ two-run single, followed by a fielder’s choice and an error to score the final two runs.
Rochester starter Lexi Schunke went the distance, scattering nine hits, including two each from Jordin Delzer and Katelyn Durbin, walking one and striking out four.
